In looking at the works with smartthings page it seems that there isn t an opener that inherently connects to smartthings as there are only 2 add on devices that connect to it gocontrol and iris.

How did you get smartthings to notice your iris garage door opener controller.
So i have the lowes iris z wave garage door opener their flavor of the linear gocontrol garage door opener gd00z and i think the tilt sensor is defective.
However when i hit the open or close buttons the controller beeps and never opens.
Since it uses z wave it s compatible with smartthings.
I triple checked the wiring and nada.
If that doesn t work i will delete the opener from smartthings reset it and then added back and see if that works.
Note i am pretty sure that this method of integration will not work with a myq garage door opener.
Ensure your garage door controller is compatible with the linear zwave module.
